A LOCAL-FIRST ANDROID LAUNCHER
Your phone, minus the noise.
Blank Desk replaces a busy home screen with one calm search surface — apps, files, contacts, calculator, notes, sketch, and a Vietnamese lunar calendar. All of it works offline, on your device.
Free and open source (MIT). Coming to Google Play.
FEATURES
One search bar. Everything behind it.
Blank Desk keeps the surface small and the capability deep — the tools you need every day, without the clutter.
One search surface
Apps, files, contacts, settings, and calculator results in a single list. Type once, see everything.
Vietnamese lunar calendar

Notes & sketch

Habits & step counter
Track habits with streaks and a gem wallet. Opt-in daily steps from the device sensor, kept locally.
Countdowns, sleep & voice memo
Timers, sleep schedules, and voice memos you start yourself — with reminders that respect your time.
Lock screen, quietly
Double-tap to lock, or add a Quick Settings tile. No extra apps, nothing on your lock screen.
BUILT QUIET
The launcher that stays out of the way.
No engagement metrics, no growth hacks. The app works for you — not the other way around.
No account, no ads
Nothing to sign up for, nothing trying to keep you scrolling.
Stays on your device
No analytics, no Firebase, no Blank Desk server. Notes and files never leave unless you share them yourself.
Permissions are optional
Sensitive permissions map to features and can be revoked anytime. The app explains why before asking.
Open source
